PHOTOGRAPH: MEETING: POSSIBLY INSTITUTE OF RADIO ENGINEERS

c. 1920
Overview

Black and white photo on brown mounting board. The mounting board has two dark brown borders: 1 cm in from the edge and 1 cm from the edge of the photograph. The photo is of approximately 60 men, some seated and some standing at the back of the room, attending a formal dinner held in a multipurpose hall. This is possibly a meeting of the Institute of Radio Engineers. The long trestle tables are decorated with flowers, cutlery, napkins and dinner ware. Most of the men are wearing bow ties, white shirts and suits. The hall has fern-like decorations strung around the walls and streamers hung from the ceilings.
