Black and white photo of General Post Office, Perth 1954. Columns are decorated with tiers of posies of flowers. Across the archways are signs: 1) Silver Chain Jubilee and a drop down 'medallion' with Silver Chain Distri and & Bush Nursing Association. 2) and 4 & sign: 'Congratulations. Perth - 20. 9am 24/9/54. Silver Chain Nursing Association heartiest congratulations on fifty years of grand service for the aged and sick. From Post Office Staff'. 3) Australian Telegraphs Centenary with drop down 'medallion' with emblem for Australia. In front of the PO stairs is a round flower display, possibly a wishing well for donations; 3 cars are parked; a bicycle; 11 people are walking or standing. On the back: PMG'S DEPT, Engineer's Branch, Perth, WA. Neg. no. 1567A.
