Joseph and Jane Shaw lived at 13 Stirling Road Claremont, where Churinga Flats are now (between Barnfield Road and Mount Street).
Jane's maiden name was Jane Nielson Bennett.
She was from Victoria and its believed she was a friend of Kate Kelly, sister of the infamous Ned Kelly.
Joseph was the brother of Peter Shaw.
