MISS ROBSON WITH HER GERMAN DOLL, VICTORIA
B&W Print. Studio portrait of Miss Robson and doll. Girl dressed in long-sleeved,dark dress with tuck and button trim and white lace-trimmed collar. Her long dark hair is caught back with two bows and she is weaing a very large white hat with tulle under the brim and outsize ties and bow. One arm is resting on a pedestal and the other is cradling a doll dressed in light dress and petticoat and wearing a bonnet over curly hair.
Original owner of doll was Mrs Werne (nee Robson) of Leon Road, Dalkeith. The doll was given to her by aunts in 1909. Doll's name is Victoria, and it has a wig made from Mrs Werne's own hair.
