CORDINS' BUTCHERS CART AND GEORGE CORDIN JNR.
B/W print. George Cordin junior in vest, dark trousers, white shirt and butchers' apron standing beside butchers' delivery cart . The body of the cart is wooden with ventilation panels around the front and side. There is a round step bracketed on the side for the driver to step onto the platform. A wooden panel is in front of the driver's area with shaped steel bracket surrounding it for the reins. In front of this, part of the shafts are visible. There are large wooden spoked wheels, and on the side is [GEO. CORDIN PROP.] In the background is a high wooden fence.
Born in Fremantle, he lived above the butcher shop in Bay View Terrace and he and his 2 sisters attended Claremont Demonstration School. He attended Sunday School at the Congregational Church, where he rang the bell. He became a butcher in the family business, Claremont Meat Co. Cart now at Museum.
