Elinor George, short-haired, standing slightly right of centre on lawn with path on left, in white nurse's apron and cap, letters [V A D] on centre of apron, sleeves and bottom of light coloured dress worn underneath visible. Hedgerow across centre of photograph, disappearing behind Elinor then reappearing, gate in hedgerow on right. Trees in background, telephone pole in background right.
Also called 'Nell'. Born 02/07/1892. Died 01/10/1960. Daughter of Williams James George and Mary Anne George (nee Nelson). Mary George was one of the first women drivers.
