Front: It features an Elizabethan era shopping centre, with drapery shop 'A.E. Hammond' and a grocery and postcard shop. To the left of the shops are some two storey homes with picket front fences.
Reverse: Handwritten on the reverse by Mr Edmeades: 'Chilham - Kent. Last house next to the Park where I was born 22 November 1837. H.E., 22 Nov. 1931'.
Also on the reverse by Mr Edmeades' daughter: 'Dad was 94 when he wrote this card and he lived to 100 yrs and six months of age.'
