Millar’s Mundijong Timber Yard 1918-1928
1918In 1918 Millars built a Board Mill in Mundijong, just where the timber rail came out of the great curve from the foothills onto the straight, leading into Mundijong. Neil Coy describes the yard as storing 50,000 tonnes of firewood and more than a kilometer of dressed timber in stacks 7 metres high.It was claimed by others that there was enough timber stacked in the year to circle the earth!
