‘H’ Crossing at the Railway Museum Bassendean
With the building of the Armadale to Bunbury railway line in 1893, sidings were established to give settlers with properties along the Serpentine River access to the railway line.Mundijong, then Manjedal, was one of these. The line crossed to Jarrahdale & Rockingham timberline at an H or Diamond Crossing. The H Crossing was removed many years later and donated to the Railway Museum, Bassendean.A replica of the H crossing is on display near to its original position on the Mundijong Railway Park Reserve.
