The photograph is of the original Road Board Office of the Serpentine Road Board. Initially this building functioned as an Agricultural Hall, built in 1898, as well as the place for the meeting of the Road Board, located on the Road Board Reserve on the corner of Paterson Street and Cockram Street, Mundijong.
