Mundijong Supply Stores 1923 - ca1987
1923In 1923 Mr and Mrs David Keys opened a store on Paterson Street, Mundijong, operating it successfully until 1933 when the timber building burnt down.The building in this photograph was erected on the Keys store site and was run by Mrs Baskerville in 1935, followed later by Mr and Mrs Alf and Florence Manwaring until well after the second world war, as the Mundijong Supply Stores.From 1948 onwards it was run by William (Bill) and Mary Lunn, in partnership with Don and Joyce Turner. It passed hands in the early 1970s, and was eventually sold it to Nino Gangemi in ca1987. The building was then replaced by the current IGA Store on Paterson Street, Mundijong.
