TEA TOWEL: SAVE THE CHILDREN, WESTERN AUSTRALIA
1999Tea towel, cream linen with screen printed motif of a stained glass window, coloured pink, yellow, green, blue, purple and white. Segments outlined in black. Stylised leaves and flowers in design. White loop of tape centre of upper back hem, has printed in blue letters "Warm machine washable. Warm to hot iron. Do not boil."
The Subiaco branch of Save The Children organises guided walks through the streets of Subiaco where there are many fine stained glass windows. The walks occur at night in October, biennially since 1988; Residents are asked to illuminate their window and door stained glass from within and turn off outside lights.
