PHOTOGRAPH: CLARE HUGHES VIEWING MUSEUM DISPLAY AT SUBIACO LIBRARY
2002Colour photograph of Mrs. Clare Hughes viewing a museum display of recently (at the time of accession) donated items. The exhibition was mounted in a museum display case located in the Subiaco Library.
Small thematic displays of objects from the Subiaco Museum collection are mounted in a specially designated display case in the foyer of the Subiaco Library. The displays are of approximately 3 months' duration. The display appearing in the photograph illustrates the wide variety of items recently donated including a pressure cooker, an 80 year old teddy bear wearing a hand knitted outfit of clothes and an invitation to join the Subiaco Radio Society at a cost of 5/-. This display followed 'Schools in Subiaco' and will be replaced by 'Whittakers Timber Merchants' - a past business in Subiaco.
