Katanning Tennis Club
c. 1925A sepia photograph of people playing tennis and spectators sitting in the pavilion behind the players. There are two women players wearing long white skirts, short sleeved shirts and hats. There are two flags flying above the pavilion. The flag on the left has the words "WALTA Country Champion ? 1923" whilst the words on the right hand flag are indistinguishable.
The Katanning Tennis Club was in Amherst St. (In 2004 Amherst Village Seniors accommodation). The building was a wooden and tin roof structure and the courts originally clay.

On the back of the postcard printed in black lettering is "POST CARD" and underneath this line are two columns with headings "CORRESPONDENCE" and "ADDRESS ONLY" and in the top right hand corner a square with the words "KODAK" at the top and bottom and the words “AUSTRAL” on the sides. This square marks the position to put a stamp.
On the back of the postcard handwritten in pencil is "Miss Richmond & Mrs Edwards 14 March 1925"
