King George Hostel
c. 1913A sepia photograph of a two storey building on the corner of a street. There is a group of men standing outside the builiding on the corner.
The King George Hostel was built by a member of the Piesse family in 1913. It has a corner position in Austral Terrace with residential accomodation upstairs and commercial businesses on the street level. It was owned and operated by Ainslie Evans from 1988. The photograph may have been taken soon after completion as at the front of the building the road is dirt.
