Historical information

Dress is described in The West Australian 18 February 1934.
'The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, gracefully attired in a charming gown of cream French macrame lace reaching to her feet and a shoulder train of finest cream crepe de chine lined with pale blue georgette and a beautifully embroidered veil and a Russian coronet of tulle and orange blossom buds and diamante trimmings, and carried a beautiful sheaf of white roses and lilies and heather.'
Wedding 2 February 1934 was at St Andrew's Church, corner Pier Street and St Georges Terrace, Perth. It was a very hot day, the donor remembers it being approx 105 degrees. Mr and Mrs Sims then went to live in Tareena Street, Hollywood. Mrs Sims made the wedding dress for herself.
