TOY: PORCELAIN TEA SET, GREEN AND WHITE
All items are white porcelain with bottle green border trim on inside and outside surface except for saucers. Cups have a circular pattern at inner base of cup. Teapot, sugar bowl and slop bowl have pattern at widest point. Small pattern on handles.
(a,c,e,g,I,k): cups - flower pot shaped with curved handle.
(b,d,f,h,I) saucers curved, high sided with manufacturer's mark on bases. Outside surface of saucer blank.
(l) slop bowl - large flower pot shaped.
m) squat bulbous cream jug - ribbed upper outside surface, large curved/flared spout.
n) sugar bowl (more correctly called the sugar 'box' which held the hand cut sugar lumps) - squat with shaped ribbed upper outside surface, flat top with mouth in surface for lid - conical with globular knob and two loop handles on opposite sides of bowl.
o) tea pot - urn shaped body with large arabesque shaped handle and curved spout.
q) lid conical with ribbed surface and globular knob on top.
Given to Mrs Pretl's mother for a fifth birthday present in 1895.
