FISH SHAPED DISH: WEMBLEY WARE
c. 1970One of a series of fisk shaped dishes.
Clear glaze over white clay body angel fish shaped shallow dishes. The eye is prominent with slight shaping of the mouth,gills and front fin. Fine line marking in the moulding of the tail. They have a deep unglazed foot with some small chips and scratches. Small crack in glaze at base of tail.
Base: Marked in black a crown above 'WEMBLEY QUALITY WARE' encircling a styalised intertwined 'WB'.
The dishes were purchase by the donor at a swap meet in about 2000. No other details are known.
