1985Image: The black and white enlargement shows the blaze at Whittakers, Hay Street, Subiaco. There are two fire engines on the left-hand side of the image. The fire is concentrated in the upper storey and is attended by two firemen on the road, next to the right-hand engine, which has its ladder fully extended with a fire fighter at the top, training water on the fire, through the window. The road is covered in fire hoses.
