1910Silver/silver plated commemorative trowel with bone or ivory handle.
Engraving on front of trowel 'Toodyay Public Hall - presented to Mrs. C. Somers Mayoress, Stone Laid Aug 15th 1910.'
Presented to Mrs Catherine Somers, Lady Mayoress of Toodyay on ceremonial laying of foundation stone for the Public Hall built at the rear of Toodyay Municipal chambers.
Date foundation stone was laid is recorded in Municipal Inventory of Heritage Places as being 7th September 1910.
Engraved inscription on trowel reads "Stone Laid Aug 15th 1910.
