Warren Jones and Peter Dalziel are holding the America's Cup trophy. Jones is wearing a green and gold striped jumper and green with gold striped pants. Dalziel is wearing Commodore dress whites. His jacket has gold buttons and four stripes on the epaulets and he is wearing sunglasses. Richard Diggins (Subiaco's Mayor at the time) is dressed in a black suit with a black tie. The three men are standing on the grass with a number of sail boats moored in the background.

Historical information

The 1987 America's Cup was held off Fremantle, Western Australia, where the American challenger, Stars & Stripes 87, helmed by Dennis Conner, defeated the Australian defender Kookaburra III in a 4-0 sweep to reclaim the Cup.
