Panel reads: 'This photomontage is on the cover of the brochure "Walking Subiaco: Subi Centro". The photograph, by unknown photographer, is of worker in the plate-making section at Calyx Pottery in 1923. It was later operated by Brisbane & Wunderlich, which made catering china, sanitary ware and Wembley Ware, a range of ornamental china. The factory became known as Bristile after 1979 and Australian Fine China from 1992. It continued to manufacture hotel china until it closed in 2006.'
