c. 1920Watercolour on paper. One of a set of four portraits illustrating well-known Albany First Nations Peoples by the artist Brenda Holland. This portrait of Mary Wheeler shows a full face, head and shoulders, greying dark hair parted in the middle plaited at either side of her head. She is wearing a high crowned wide-brimmed felt hat, a red scarf around her neck, held in place with a safety pin and a double string of pearls. Her dress is blue and rust-coloured with an overall floral design.
