Behind them can be seen other guests attending an inspection of the Standard Gauge Railway Project being rolled out through the Avon Valley.

Historical information

This photo is in a presentation folder from the Australian Transport Advisory Council Conference.
Members of the Australian Transport Advisory Council (attending a meeting in Perth), visited the Old Gaol (Newcastle Gaol) and had lunch at the Toodyay Memorial Hall, catered by the Toodyay CWA.
An official welcome was provided by Shire President Dallas Edward Ludemann.
