CONVICT MOUNDED STONES

1979
Subcollections
Overview

Black and white photograph convict mounded stones, that appear to be holding back an embankment.
Left foreground there is a man wearing a long sleeved jumper over a white collared shirt, white shorts and knee high white socks with moccasin style shoes. He has his right hand in the pocket of his shorts and is wearing glasses. Standing, he is looking at stones mounded by convicts (possibly ticket of leave men). There is a second person on far right just out of shot, with one shoed foot on a stone; the person appears to be wearing jeans and has his/her hand resting on his bended knee with his arm upright.
Some trees are shown in the background, higher up on the slope.
