MINE SHAFT

Bush timber sides to entrance.
Two upright posts with pole across mine shaft entrance.
Mine surrounded by tall trees.
The Jimperding gold diggings became active during the Depression years of the early 1930s, particularly 1931 to 1933. The scattered and limited gold saw numbers quickly fall after this period.
The general location of the diggings is believed to be along Yindinning Brook, a tributary of Jimperding Brook in the Toodyay district.
