Constable Ward Police Graduation

Overview

Twenty-five, newly-trained constables wearing heavy, dark, military-style tunics with silver buttons, dark trousers, boots and white topped caps. Men are grouped in three rows with officers on either end of the middle row. Behind them is a corrugated iron building with two casement windows with metal shades

Historical information

Constable Cyril Reginald Ward was a policeman who lived in the police quarters at 66 Victoria Avenue, Claremont. In 1975 the quarters opened as part of the Claremont Museum.
