Laura Davis grew up in Roleystone before heading east to peruse a career in comedy. Where she has had great success. She won the Golden Gibbo award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2015, and in 2017 joined the writing team of Shaun Micallef's ABC show, Mad as Hell.
On 3 February 2018 Laura did a stand up show about how women have been represented in history at History House Museum.

The poster was used to advertise an evening with award winning Laura Davis as she delved into the past of local women and how history treated them. Laura grew up in Roleystone and in 2008, aged 19, won the Triple J Raw Comedy competition. she moved to Melbourne to peruse her career which has seen her perform around the country and internationally.
The poster represents and tells the story of a local resident who has built an interesting career and how History House has interpreted the history of Armadale and its collection.
