A milking apron, possibly Land army issue c1940s-50s, which originated from the Perryman's farm in Devon. The apron is designed to be pulled over normal clothing to protect the clothing from cowshed accidents during milking. It is made of strong breached cotton fabric, has a pocket on the left breast, a pocket at the right hip, a central split at the lower front and the lower back has been cut out to allow movement. Both pockets sport blue embroidery telling of the pockets intended use.
