A hand made wooden handled hammer with a hand made piece of metal at one end. The metal piece is a stamp which is 3.8cm wide and has a length of 12.4cm

Historical information

The stamp has the initials 'WJ' which when stamped into wood will be 'JW'. This is hand made stamping tool was used by a logger to mark the logs that they had sawn.
