Silver metallic plate with scalloped edges and a plastic disc in the centre.The image depicted has a tower and a second building with the label [Wasserberg] and a set of buildings with the label Rathaus on the right. The sky and ground is styled to make the two locations appear to blend.

Below the scene on the bottom of the plate is the word [Egeln] with a coat of arms beneath it. The coat of arms features a tower either side of a portcullis. Between the towers is a rampant griffin on a shield.

Text above the central picture reads [Egeln-Heimatstadt] and text below the central picture reads [des chores ''Young Voices'']. There is also a maker's mark in the centre at the back.

Historical information

"This morning (Monday 21st of March), along with Crs Clowes-Hollins, Tizard, the CEO and a variety of staff, the Mayor hosted the visiting Young Voices of Egeln Choir from Germany who entertained us. This reciprocated visit was organised by Mr John Christmass of Kelmscott. On behalf of the Council the Mayor took the opportunity to congratulate John on his WA Senior Citizen of the Year Award and made small presentations to both him, and the visitors." From Council Minutes 21st of March 2005.
As part of their visit they presented this plate from their home town as a gift.

The Egeln Chamber Choir also known as 'Young Voice' was formed in 1997 in the town of Egeln which has a choir tradition. They have performed across Europe and in 2005 visited Australia including Western Australia where they performed at UWA and at Government House.
