Pine wooden cross set into a pine block base with a bevelled front edge which has a gold plastic plate with black text glued onto it.

The text on the plate reads: [TO COMMEMORATE OPENING / ST FRANCIS XAVIER CHURCH / BROOKDALE 24.06.2007]

Historical information

The commemorative cross from the opening of the new St Francis Xavier Church on the 24th of June 2007 in Brookdale (Now Hilbert). The previous church was located on South West Highway in Armadale.

The cross itself was collected by a councillor who attended the opening.

Statement of significance

This cross was made to commemorate the opening of the St Francis Xavier Church in Brookdale (Now Hilbert) on the 24th of June 2007. The old church was situated on the South West Highway.
The church and school are associated with each other, when the school moved the church moved with it.
