Medical Kidney Dish, white enamel, black rim edge, with some of the enamel broken off.

Historical information

This kidney dish was used by members of the Cosgrave and Glew families of Armadale. In the early 1925 Benjamin Cecil Glew married Teresa Cosgrave at St Francis Xavier's Roman Catholic Church in Armadale. Teresa was born in Armadale in 1899.
The dish ended up with their daughter Patricia who in the 1940s married Bert Ten Haaf and moved to Yangebup.
The dish was made by Metters Limited, an Australian company widely known for its stoves and ovens. The company also manufactured a variety of metal agricultural, bathroom, medical and kitchenware products.
