CAMERA: POLAROID PATHFINDER, CASE AND ACCESSORIES
1962a) Camera, Polaroid Pathfinder Land Camera Model 120. Early example of Polaroid system in which photograph is printed while in the camera. Dark grey case, simulated leather finish, grey metal hinges and frame, black leather carrying strap with two grey metal buckles. Front of camera unfolds when white metal clip released. Back of casing has red switch in white metal surround. Instructions on back of casing.
b) Tan leather camera case, POLAROID embossed in gold on lid. White metal clasp, light brown stitching, matching leather carrying strap with 2 white metal buckles. Red suede bands inside hold camera in place. Lid of case folds out. Cream zip-fastened pouch which holds the following accessories is fixed inside the lid.
c) Polaroid light meter 635.
d) Polaroid filter.
e) National AG-1 flash bulbs in white red and black cardboard box. 7 white globes, 3 blue.
f) 5 atlas mini-flash bulbs AG1 B BLUE, in blue, bla and & white box. One missing.
g) flashlight fitting, no bulb.
h) wiper for developing process in small black canister with white lid.
i) Instruction leaflet for light meter.
j) instruction leaflet for Polaroid wink-light.
k) Instruction booklet for camera.
l) Polaroid Wink-Light.
The camera was purchased in Hong Kong, given to the donor who is English, in Hong Kong. The donor brought it to Australia in 1966. The donor now lives in Subiaco. The Polaroid camera was invented by Edwin H. Land in 1947. The model 120 was produced 1961 - 1965
