Historical information

Donated to the museum collection by Anne Crane in 2013. Her late husband Gary Walter Crane had been resident at Yandee in the late 1940s as a child; his father was Walter George Crane who owned the property between 1946 and 1950. A clearing sale was held at Yandee on 17 January 1950 after the Cranes sold the property. (Walter Crane died in 1951.) It is assumed the watercolour and the panoramic photograph of Yandee Shire of Toodyay accession number 2014.8 (which appears to pre-date the Crane occupation), were removed from the homestead around the time of the clearing sale.
