OLD GAOL MUSEUM DISPLAY, KITCHEN

Subcollections
Overview

Black and white photograph of a display of the kitchen in the old gaol. The display takes up a corner of the room.
The floor is flagged with Toodyay stone. The left hand wall has a fireplace with a cauldron hanging in the centre, a kettle to one side and a pot in the bottom of the hearth.
To the left of the fireplace hangs a long handled frypan on the wall, to the right of the fireplace hangs a fly swatter and a small set of bellows. At the foot of the fireplace, leaning up against the hearth is what appears to be a shallow casserole dish with two D handles either side.
Above the hearth is a long barrelled shotgun.
Between the corner of the room and the fireplace is a shelving unit with three inner shelves and one top shelf. There are a number of kitchen type items on display in this unit.
The right hand wall holds a yoke on the wall, with a large wooden table placed up against the wall and a bench seat made of two planks with five legs in front of it. Upon the table are a number of items.
