LACE, MACHINE, COLLAR
A strong bold deign of this lady’s collar, machine made emulating Irish crochet.
The collar has 5 bands of design motif elements. At neck edge, small bunches of grapes, then a band of leaves, followed by a band of large bunches of grapes each grape formed as a coronne, and finally a band of large rectangular leaves creating an ornamental edge.
The motifs are connected with picot brides.
Some damage in the grid of connecting brides.
The collar had been larger, but due to severe damage at the sides, these were cut off.
