Cane Chair
A small cane chair which has flared side pieces so that the chair can sit on a bullock, and there are two square holes in the back of the chair. The cane along the top and side edges of the chair have a criss cross pattern. There is a blue cushion on the chair which has a 'T' piece in the middle so that legs are either side of the 'T' piece. Underneath the chair is another piece of padding which fits the underneath the contours of the chair, the side of the padding which would touch the animal is woollen felt. Sitting underneath this chair is another clover leaf shaped piece of leather with felt padding underneath which is the saddle to attach the chair to the bullock, this saddle has two straps. There are two loops at either end of the saddle and a buckle to attach the saddle to the chair. The chair, saddle and clogs are displayed attached to a small drum which replicates how the item would have looked when harnessed to a bullock.
The clover shaped leather saddle is 91cm wide and has a length of 51cm.
