A cross pattée (also known as a cross patty, cross formy, or Templar cross) is a type of Christian cross where the arms are narrow at the centre and flare out to a broader shape at the edges, often with curved or straight lines. It is characterised by its distinctive "footed" appearance, hence the French term "pattée" meaning "footed".
