Historical information

Jeffrey Green came across the item while cleaning out his shed. When the original Armadale school building was relocated in 1987(to the Minnawarra Historic Precinct) the speaker was taken down for safe keeping, no doubt with the intention of relocating it to its original position. Jeff had played a role in preparing and moving the school.
The speaker comes from the Armadale School and was used in the classroom to relay messages to teachers and students from the schools head office. The speakers were used in the school from the 1950s through to its closure in 1987.
