Historical information

Construction of the Yanchep Inn began in 1936, in reponse to the park's popularity as a holiday destination. During the 1930s, philanthropist, Sir Charles McNess donated 11,600 pounds to the State. The donation was used by the State Gardens Board to employ sustenance workers on major developments within the park.
