HOWARD, Al

1913 - 2013

Al Howard was the original Melville Glades Golf Club course designer.

He remained in contact with the club for several years after the course was built and provided advice on several modifications.

His involvement with Melville Glades is discussed in more detail in the Golden Anniversary Publication booklet - see associated records.

Two photographs of Howard are attached.

The first was taken from a West Australian newspaper article dated circa 1968 when Howard came to Perth during the time when he designed the course.

The second was taken in 2011 at an unknown celebration late in his life.
