Walter Sefton was born in 1913 and died in 1988.

His recollections include Shenton Park Lake, Allman's Dairy; sports ground at Rosalie; swimming at City Beach; Markets c.1930, Subiaco generally, swimming at Nedlands; rubbish disposal, trams, Subiaco a good place to live, characters 'Feathers', town houses, school - Miss Hislop, Ittershagen - aerodrome. Aborigines, scouting, markets, P.O.W., Dr D T (Eric) Smith; home remedies, war service house, hotel, brothel, pawn broker, changes in Subiaco, courting activities.
