TOBACCO AND CIGARETTE TINS (THREE)
Three tobacco and cigarette tins:
Hinged lid, red painted, gold bordered lid and sides. Lid has transverse oval of white paint with "CRAVEN 'A'" printed in gold and black.This is surmounted by the picture of a cat's face in black, with "cork tipped" on each side and "trade mark" beneath, on a scroll. Lid has "Made by Carreras Ltd (Est. 17880 London, England") near back hinge; "50 Craven 'A' Cork Tipped" on each side. Inside lid has "Made specially to prevent sore throats Craven 'A', Cork Tipped Virginian. Are made from the finest imported matured Virginian Tobacco guaranteed pure and absolutely free from adulteration of any kind. Carreras Limited, (Estd. 1788) Arcadia Works, London, England.". Additionally, has "Made in London, England" at lower edge of top of lid, under "Virginian Cigarettes".
