KIKUYU GRASS KILLING TRIAL REPORT

2017
Overview

In 2017 members Max Hannah and Brian Gray conducted a trial into the efficiency of applying a range of concentrations of the herbicide glyphosate and the effect each had in killing the invasive kikuyu grass.

In brief, the trial results suggested a specific recommended concentration was effective in killing kikuyu grass (and to some extent another invasive grass, Parramatta) whilst enabling the primary and preferred wintergreen fairway grass to recover from the spray's effects.

The method and results of this trial are described in this five page A4 document prepared by Max and Brian. The report was provided to the club's Board of Management.
