Overview

Funding Grant - Community Sport Infrastructure

On 18 September 2018 Andrew Clark, the Club Captain at the time, submitted an application for a funding grant to the value of $47,439 with Community Sport Infrastructure 2018, a Federal Government organisation.

The purpose of the grant was to upgrade the outdoor gazebo to make it more suitable for hosting functions. The grant was subsequently approved.

The attachment shows a symbolic cheque for the funding grant. This was presented to the club by Hon Ben Morton MP, the Liberal Party's Tangney representative. Funds were used to install doors and shutters, heating, roof repairs, painting, etc. making it a lockable area. The new facility was formally opened on 31 January 2020. New outdoor furniture was also purchased at the time from fundraising money and some of this was situated in the gazebo area.

The other attachments include the funding grant application forms and a picture of the the formal opening of the gazebo by Ben Morton.

The symbolic cheque was disposed of after the attachment photograph was obtained.
