Hair curlers and clips

Overview

Oval metal tin containing numerous size and shapes of hair curlers.

Historical information

Each curler has a hinge in the centre which when pressed together opens the curler. The hair would then be placed in the open clip and then closed, the teeth on each side of the clip would hold the hair. Home hair dressing has always been part of a women's life. This tin has several different types of clips and curlers.
