A red enamel shield shaped badge with a lapel clip. The badge has a red enamel background with a gold strip going diagonally across it.

Historical information

The back of the badge is made to fit in to a lapel buttonhole on a man's coat. This was usual for the period. A false buttonhole was usually sewn in to the left side lapel of the coat.
