Katanning War Memorial
A statue of a soldier standing with a gun at his right hand side, the statue is mounted on a pedestal. On the pedestal is a wreath, a cross and then two plaques. On the base of the pedestal on the front and left hand side can be seen two metal plaques which cover the height and width of the base and then below this bas is another plaque. Behind the memorial is a white picket fence and to the left of the memorial can be seen the verandah of a building. There is a grassed oval area directly behind the memorial and house in the background.
The statue is facing the Katanning town centre, at some later date it was changed to face the oval. The memorial is located in the corner of Prosser Oval, the corner of Carew and Cliff Streets.
