WOODEN BOX: FOR BOVRIL, ALLMAN FAMILY
An oblong shaped shallow box made from wood which contained 1 dozen 2 ounce bottles of Bovril. Bovril was used to flavour gravy and hot food . It was also used as a hot drink. On the one side of the box (lengthwise) are the words: 'BOVRIL - Buy a Bottle Now'. On the other side the words: 'BOVRIL - The Cook's Friend'. On both ends: '1 Doz. 2 oz. Bottles - BOVRIL'
